Prometric test results cna ny3/28/2024 ![]() ![]() Site entry restrictions may vary by site and include such things as proof of COVID-19 testing (IFT sites only), temperature checking, sign in logs, etc. Site specific, local and state guidelines may also apply and must be followed. Please be advised that testing sites may also have their own safety guidelines. You will be prohibited from testing if you don’t have a mask. Prometric guidelines require that a candidate must bring and wear a mask (without an exhalation valve) at all times and follow the instruction of the Nurse Aide Evaluator. While much about testing will remain the same, Prometric is instituting new safety procedures for all Nurse Aide testing events in response to COVID-19, including special training for our staff, additional cleaning at testing sites, and a new mask requirement for all test takers. We will reschedule any impacted candidates as soon as we can, and appreciate your patience as it may take some time to get all sites operational again. ![]() Prometric resumed nurse aide testing in July 2020, where allowed by local jurisdictions and as supported by available testing sites and staff. The clinical skills test requires you to perform several essential nursing tasks in front of an evaluator. You’ll have 90 minutes to complete 60 multiple-choice questions. The written certification exam will test your knowledge of nursing concepts. ![]() ![]() Your CNA exam will have two parts: the written exam and the clinical skills test. If you miss more than eight questions, you can restart the test and try again. If you still make a mistake, you’ll see the correct answer displayed along with an explanation to help you understand. Not sure which one is right? Click on the hint. Read the question and select the best answer (only one is correct). Each multiple-choice question has four answer options. The test covers the following topics: patient safety and emergency situations, positioning the patient, use of restraints, learning the metric system, and preventing your own injuries. The practice questions are based on the same categories that are included in the official exam. Other tests in the series cover Basic Restorative Services, Care of Cognitively Impaired Residents, Communication and Interpersonal Skills, Infection Control, Legal and Ethical Behaviours, Mental Health and Social Services Needs, Personal Care Skills, Resident Rights, and Safety and Emergency Procedures. This is the first practice exam in a series that covers the knowledge of Basic Nursing Skills you’ll need as a new certified nursing assistant (CNA). The test has just been updated for March 2024.
